Victoria Branch
Victoria is an associate who practices in the areas of business litigation and transactions, construction, and maritime law. She brings a distinctive combination of regulatory experience and industry knowledge that allows her to guide clients through the complexities of ocean shipping regulation, agency enforcement, and commercial maritime disputes, with considerable knowledge in Shipping Act compliance and Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) adjudication.
Before joining the firm, Victoria served at a Washington, D.C.–based maritime law firm, where she supported all phases of FMC adjudicatory proceedings in complex Shipping Act matters. Her industry perspective is further informed by her time in-house at CMA CGM (America) LLC, one of the world's largest container shipping lines, giving her practical insight into the commercial and operational realities facing ocean carriers, NVOCCs, and freight intermediaries.
Victoria's experience also spans Jones Act and marine casualty litigation, oil and gas project contract review, vessel charter agreements, and merger-related legal risk assessments across marine project portfolios. She has also worked on intellectual property, antitrust, and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) matters, reflecting a broad legal foundation that supports her clients across a range of industries and disputes.
Victoria received her B.S. in Education from The Ohio State University and her J.D. and Certificate in Maritime Law from Tulane University Law School. During her time at Tulane, she served as President of the Black Law Students Association and Senior Articles Editor for Vol. 49 of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal.
